STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
NATCHEZ, Mississippi - In response to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s official notification of one confirmed case of COVID-19 in Natchez, Adams, Natchez Mayor Darryl Grennell urges all citizens to remain calm and continue social distancing to the greatest extent possible.
The tool that we have to fight this pandemic is “social distancing, “says Mayor Grennell. “If you have any questions or doubt or concern about whether or not a social activity is safe or not, then err on the side of caution and avoid it,” urges Mayor Grennell. “The safest approach is to stay home.”
Regarding Mayor Grennell’s health, the Mayor is feeling better and he has not yet received the results of his COVID-19 test.
The Mayor urges all Natchezians to abide by all guidelines now being issued by the joint Natchez-Adams County Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
